Come make joyful noise at this acoustic jam series in Whitehaven! We will play popular songs from the 1950s-today, suggested by library patrons like you! Bring your own instrument or use a guitar, bass, Cajon, or other noise maker we provide. We especially love singers, so even if you don’t play an instrument, we can’t wait to have you join in. Jam sessions will be held the last Wednesday of every month. Lyrics and music will be provided by the library as well. Let’s jam!

Whether you play drums or not, you will learn how to tap into your natural rhythm by learning simple fundamental drum rudiments and rhythms. You will learn skills such as self-control, teamwork, self -confidence and celebration of oneself and others to help you at school, home, and in life. Corey Travis, Founding Executive Director, Memphis Youth Arts Initiative and M.Y. A. I. Fire Squad Drumline , will be the leading guest facilitator for the program from Oct 10 to 0ctober 14th There are limited spots available and registration is required for participation.
