Join us for a Computer Basics with Microsoft Windows 10.  This operating system for Windows offers a array of enhancements and functionality in an easy to use interface.  The training teaches the most basic skills needed to operate a Library computer:

• Using a mouse
• Knowing certain terminology like Desktop, Icons, Menu, Taskbar, Toolbar, etc.
• Opening a program
• Saving a document

This class is intended for beginners and assumes no prior knowledge of computer use. It is a good introduction to other computer classes offered by the Library.

This class is designed to introduce the basic functions of  Microsoft Word for Office 365 in order to create professional documents, resumes, and any other text documents.  The following skills will be covered:

§ Learn to navigate using Ribbons, command groups, dialog boxes, and backstage view.

§ Format text

§ Format paragraphs

§ set up pages and margins

§ Insert and format pictures

§ Insert and format tables

§ Save and retrieve documents with OneDrive and your computer
