This series will discuss how to turn your passion for writing into an ongoing career. You will learn how to network, get published and take advantage of writing opportunities.

Instructor Douglas Pratt published his first novel, Blood Remembered, in 2011. Since then, he has published nineteen novels. In 2020, prior to the pandemic, he went to writing full-time.  Since then, he has had numerous best-selling books.  In 2023, he launched his own publishing company, Manta Press.  In addition, he is the co-host of the podcast The Two Authors’ Chat Show. 

Build English skills in a relaxed, friendly environment, meet other English learners, and practice speaking and listening skills in small groups. Discussions are led by a native English speaker, and all skill levels are welcome to come. This is a virtual program that will be held using the Microsoft Teams platform

Classes are designed to teach adults how to pronounce and write some basic English words and phrases.

Instructor Patricia Posada is a native Spanish speaker who wants to help the community and teach early English learners how to pronounce and write a few words and phrases. Patricia has over 10 years of experience translating.

Classes will go over some introductory Spanish terms and keywords for people who plan to travel to a Spanish-speaking country. Lessons will go over vocabulary, speaking, and some writing skills.
