Two Sentence Scary Story Contest

Can you come up with the shortest and scariest story? Using only two sentences, tell a scary story and submit for a chance to win a Malco gift card! Your story can be about anything with a scary twist, suspense, or surprise ending. All ages are encouraged to submit! Turn in a paper copy at Randolph or email Sydney with your story by Monday, October 23rd. Winner will be announced on Monday, October 30th!

Example: "Growing up with dogs and cats, I got used to the sounds of scratching at my door. Now that I live alone, it's much more unsettling."

Creative Coping

Creative Coping (CreateCo for short) is a community engagement program that supports teens in exploring artistic practice as a method for dealing with loss. Teen participants will be guided through activities that provide an outlet for creative expression. Artistic practice during CreateCo sessions includes a variety of activities such as drawing, music, movement, painting, mindfulness, dramatic play, and more! 

Periodically, teens will have the opportunity to invite adult caregivers to attend art-sharing and reflections. CreateCo meets monthly on the first Sunday during the school year.

Electronics and Electricity Seminar

Joseph Oliver and a variety of skilled professionals conduct weekly classes with customers participating in hands-on repair and learning exercises. Participants will be exposed to the basics of electricity and electronics theory and repair. Registration not necessary and we can start you with the beginners group and work you up to our more advanced group.

A variety of subjects are also explored from solar power to radio transmission. Whether your goal is home repair or a new career, this class will prepare you.
