Event Details

This month our foreign and independent film series will screen the 2018 documentary from James Crump entitled Antonio Lopez 1970: Sex, Fashion & Disco.

As the title implies, the film focuses on the life of Antonio Lopez, the dominant fashion illustrator of his era, and specifically on the boisterous years of 1969-1973 when the artist and his entourage moved their focus from New York to Paris. The film details how the influential Lopez discovered such iconic muses as Grace Jones, Jessica Lange, and Jerry Hall, and reveals his connections with influential members of the fashion world such as Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint-Laurent. (Running time 95 minutes)
