Hooks Central Library. April is Poetry month so all library branches will have community poems you can add to from April 1-April 18. These poems will be on display in the Goodwyn Gallery at the library during this special event. Books will be available for purchase and there will be a book signing following the presentation/performance by Alexander and Preston. There will also be activities for children\, teens\, and adults beginning at 5:00 pm.Kwame Alexander is a poet\, educator\, and the \;New York Times \;Bestselling author of 28 books\, including SWING\, SOLO\, and REBOUND\, the follow-up to his\, NEWBERY medal-winning middle grade novel\, THE CROSSOVER.
