R.E.A.D Program

Poplar-White Station Library will host the West Tennessee Therapy Dogs organization’s program “Reading Education Assistance Dogs” (R.E.A.D.). Through this program, kids will improve their reading skills by using registered pet partner therapy teams as literacy mentors. After four 15-minute sessions of the R.E.A.D. program, readers are rewarded a 'pawtographed' book of their own, thanks to the Friends of the Poplar-White Station Library. Registration is required. Art and Its History After-School Club

After-school Art and Its History is an hour to increase your understanding of what artistic people have created before you, and to be inspired in creating your own versions from the master artists. The club meetings will be held the first and second Wednesdays of September, October, and November 2017. Aimed at students ages 8-12 years. Registration required. This week's lesson includes historic information within the range of Baroque through Contemporary Art.

After-school LEGO Club is every third Wednesday at your Poplar-White Station Library! This program is a great opportunity for kids (ages 3 and up) to get creative and have fun building! There will also be LEGO Challenges to get your creative juices flowing. We provide all the LEGOS, Duplos, and Gears! used in the program. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
