Posh is a therapy dog who's calm steady presence helps kids relax while reading out loud, helping to improve confidence and reading fluency! Infants and toddlers will be welcome to a Lapsit Storytime for ages 6-24 months. Storytimes will consist of plenty of songs and stories, along with early literacy tips for parents and caregivers. At the end of each storytime, caregivers and children will have the opportunity to play with age appropriate toys. Come join us for this new adventure or call for more details!

Poplar-White Station Library will host the West Tennessee Therapy Dogs organization’s program “Reading Education Assistance Dogs” (R.E.A.D.). Through this program, kids will improve their reading skills by using registered pet partner therapy teams as literacy mentors. After four 15-minute sessions of the R.E.A.D. program, readers are rewarded a 'pawtographed' book of their own, thanks to the Friends of the Poplar-White Station Library. Registration is required.
