Infants and toddlers will be welcome to a Lapsit Storytime for ages 6-18 months. Storytimes will consist of plenty of songs and stories, along with early literacy tips for parents and caregivers. At the end of each storytime, caregivers and children will have the opportunity to play with age appropriate toys. Come join us for this new adventure or call for more details!

Poplar-White Station Library will host the West Tennessee Therapy Dogs organization’s program “Reading Education Assistance Dogs” (R.E.A.D.). Through this program, kids will improve their reading skills by using registered pet partner therapy teams as literacy mentors. After four 15-minute sessions of the R.E.A.D. program, readers are rewarded a 'pawtographed' book of their own, thanks to the Friends of the Poplar-White Station Library. Registration is required.

Read with Posh allows children a safe space to practice reading with the best kind of audience, a dog! Posh is a therapy dog who's calm steady presence helps kids relax while reading out loud, helping to improve confidence and reading fluency! The Capleville United Methodist Church will be offering a weekly kids' storytime and reading group beginning April 7th and ending April 28th. It will feature reading activities and arts and crafts. Children will receive FREE BOOKS to take home. Sponsored by the Samaritan Community Reading Project.
